Nanny’s Famous Christmas bread, it’s a family tradition that is just too delicious not to share… It’s hands down one of our favorite Christmas Morning traditions. We look forward to it every year! Trust me, this recipe will have you starting a new family tradition. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

This recipe calls for 24-28 frozen Rhodes dinner rolls, brown sugar, cinnamon, sugar, chopped pecans, butter and butterscotch Jell-O (non-instant).

To start, combine one butterscotch Jell-O packet and brown sugar in a bowl

Melt one stick of butter

Dip each roll into the butter- make sure it’s completely covered!

Dip the rolls in the butterscotch/brown sugar mixture- repeat for all 24-28 rolls.

Grease the pan

Place all of the rolls into the pan and dump the remaining butterscotch/brown sugar mixture into the pan

Melt 1/2 stick of butter and drizzle on top of the rolls

 Sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped pecans into the pan

Combine cinnamon and sugar into a bowl

Mix and drizzle on top of the rolls

Cover the pan with a towel and let rise overnight or for at least 8 hours

 When the rolls are ready, remove the towel and place in the oven

Remove the rolls from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes

Flip the pan, remove and enjoy!

  • 24-28 Rhodes Rolls (Frozen)
  • 1 1/2 sticks of butter
  • 1 packet of butterscotch pudding (non-instant)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cane sugar

Instructions

  1. Grease pan
  2. Combine 1 packet of butterscotch pudding and 1/2 cup brown sugar in bowl
  3. Melt 1 stick of butter
  4. Dip each roll into the butter
  5. Dip each roll into the butterscotch/brown pudding mixture
  6. Place the rolls into the pan
  7. After all the rolls are in the pan, combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a bowl
  8. Mix and pour into the pan
  9. Melt 1/2 stick of butter and drizzle on top of the rolls
  10. Sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped pecans into the pan
  11. Place towel over the top of the pan and let sit overnight or for at least 8 hours
  12. Place in the over at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
  13. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes
  14. Flip the pan, remove and enjoy!
