Pecan Pie
Pecan Pie is a classic Thanksgiving dessert and this one is unlike any other! My grandmother has been making this pecan pie for as long as I can remember and this recipe is definitely up there with the best! It is so rich and has a ton of flavor, your guests will think you spent all day baking! But really… it’s probably one of the easiest desserts I have ever made, and it’s always everyones favorite.
This pie is sooo simple, all you need is one Pillsbury pie crust, 4 eggs, good vanilla, butter, sugar and Griffin’s original syrup. And of course, pecans.
Start by whisking together the eggs and sugar. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved, about 5 min… this will make your pie filling smooth. I love this recipe because you whisk everything by hand!
Now add in the Griffin’s original syrup. This takes the place of dark corn syrup and makes this pie unlike another!
Next, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and add it in.
Now add in the vanilla. Be sure to use good vanilla, it will take this pie to the next level!
Make sure the mixture is all combined and then add in the shelled pecans. The recipe calls for 1 cup but I love pecans so sometimes I add in a few more.
Roll out one of the Pillsbury crusts over the pie pan. Using your fingers, pinch the edges of the crust to give it a pretty look. If you are feeling very ambiguous, you can make your own crust, but I’m keeping it simple and making it exactly like my grandma does!
Once the crust is all pinched, add in the filling and bake in a 325 degree oven for 45 min to 50.
Let cool and then serve with ice cream! This is the perfect Thanksgiving dessert!
* If you make this the day before, keep in the refrigerator overnight!

- 1 cup of shelled pecans

- Whisk all the ingredients together and fold in the pecans
